A delegation from the Department of Mathematics, Peking University has participated in the 1st Al-Khwarizmi International Mathematics Olympiad for Undergraduate Students 2018. The delegation was composed of Prof. Wang Jiajun (the main leader), Chen Pingping (the deputy leader) and four contestants Ji Yibo, Yuan Hongrui, Wang Haoran and Ouyang Minghui.
In this competition, there are 228 players from all over the world. All the students from our university have achieved an exciting result. Wang Haoran has won the special award and a gold medal with full marks. Ouyang Minghui ranked second with one point lost and won a gold medal. Ji Yibo and Yuan Hongrui won gold and silver prizes respectively ranking 9th and 16th. The outstanding performance of this delegation has made them become the super winner in this international competition.
