【摘要】
The spectral base was introduced by Chen and Ngo to study the image of the Hitchin map over higher-dimensional projective manifolds. I will discuss how it can be used to study representations of the fundamental group of projective manifolds via non-abelian Hodge theory, with special emphasis on quotients of bounded symmetric domains by cocompact lattices. This is joint work with Siqi He and Ngaiming Mok.
