Curriculum Vitae


I completed undergraduate studies at the department of computer science of Fuzhou University from 1979-1983. I later earned a Ph.D in computer science from Beihang University. In 1994, I was promoted to the position of tenured professor of computer science. Currently, I am a university distinguished professor in the department of information and computation science at Peking University, where I also served as the department chairman from 1999-2008, and was a visiting professor at the University of California at Los Angeles. I am the recipient of the 1999 national outstanding young scientist, the special government allowance of the State Council, and several honors for teaching and research. My work focuses computer science and artificial intelligence. I have been responsibile for more than ten national research projects and have published approximately 200 academic papers. I have also involved in various academic and social activities.
